CHEEKWOOD ANNOUNCES HOLIDAY FESTIVAL SCHEDULE
CHEEKWOOD ANNOUNCES HOLIDAY FESTIVAL SCHEDULE
Popular Festival Presented by Regions
NASHVILLE, TN. – Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Museum of Art has released its schedule of events for Holiday at Cheekwood, the organization’s signature four-week celebration of holiday traditions and festive, family-friendly activities.
This year’s seasonal schedule will include Holiday Weekends, a new addition in 2013 featuring extended Sunday hours. From December 1 through December 22, Cheekwood will open its gates at 9:30 a.m. on weekend mornings to offer additional drop-in studio art activities, cookie decorating, live music, Santa visits and more.
Cheekwood’s holiday celebration is a tradition in the Nashville community and beyond, drawing visitors from across the region to enjoy artfully decorated Christmas trees and its stately mansion decked out in magnificent holiday splendor. This year’s décor theme is Christmas in Color, featuring bright, bold palettes and creative splashes of color created by professional decorators, designers, event planners and florists.
“We love being a special part of Nashville’s holiday season,” said Hillary Steinwinder, VP of Education & Public Programs. “And this year, we’re proud to give our community the gift of extended Sunday hours and expanded programming. The holidays are truly a magical time to visit Cheekwood, and we’re excited to respond to our festival’s popularity with more opportunities for families and visitors of all ages to enjoy it.”
