NASHVILLE, TN. – Cheekwood Botanical Garden & Museum of Art has been named one of the Best Public Gardens in North America in the 10Best Readers’ Choice Travel Award Contest sponsored by USA TODAY. Among the 10 winners, Cheekwood placed 6th on the list.

Cheekwood was one of 20 public gardens nominated for this award by a panel of travel and garden experts, with the top 10 winners determined by a public vote on the 10Best website. The 10Best Readers’ Choice Travel Award Contest announces 20 nominees in a new category each week, followed by a 4-week voting period.

Other public garden nominees for the 10Best Readers’ Choice Travel Award included Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania (1st), Butchcart Gardens in Victoria, British Columbia (3rd), and Chicago Botanical Garden in Chicago, Illinois (5th). The winners will be promoted in the April 4 print version of USA TODAY as well as on Nominees were previously announced and promoted across Gannett media’s 81 local newspapers and 23 television stations during the voting period.
