Trains will be closed April 29 through May 7
The trains will be rolling again on May 8 with a “Reopening Celebration” planned for May 10.
Applied Imagination is nationally recognized for their award winning garden railways and we are thrilled to have them back for the third time! In addition to updating and repairing the current exhibit, the layout will also be expanding. The newly designed layout will include more than 265 feet of track in three roadbeds. The new upper railway will travel through two overhead bridges and connect to the old exhibit via two cedar ‘mountains’. A second and third winding track will pass through one of the ‘mountains’ and cross over a number of small willow bridges.
The exhibition is created in garden scale made with materials from nature. Children will delight in the real-life bells and whistles of the engines, as they travel across the train tracks.
The exhibition is the work of Applied Imagination’s Paul Busse from Alexandria, Kentucky. Paul has created one of a kind works for numerous private and public spaces, including the New York and Atlanta Botanical Gardens, Chicago Botanic Garden and the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas.
