Check out the 100,000 tulips planted in Cheekwood’s gardens! Drop by the studios to create your own “totally tulips” art project. And add more art appreciation to your morning with a visit to the galleries for the Museum Minute.

April 8 Beautiful Blossoms

In honor of Cheekwood’s Modern Twist exhibition and Nashville’s Cherry Blossom Festival, join us in the studio to create your own beautiful, Japanese-inspired blossom!

In honor of Cheekwood’s 22nd annual Spring Art Hop this Saturday, we will be creating our own EGGcellent art project!

April 17 Bulb Bonanza

Cheekwood Garden staff planted 100,000 tulips last fall, ensuring that we will have a stunning display this spring. But beyond the tulips and daffodils which most people think of, lies an amazing world of bulbs and bulb-like plants just waiting to enhance your garden. Patrick Larkin, Cheekwood’s Senior Vice President for Gardens & Facilities, will share with you why he is so enthusiastic about this versatile plant group.  Click here to purchase tickets.

April 5 Native Plant Sale

One Day Only! 
9:30 am until all plants are sold, Botanic Hall

Our annual springtime plant sale will have the best selection of native plants for your garden. From spring blooming wildflowers to shrubs, vines, and small trees, you are sure to find the perfect plants for your garden!  Sponsored by the Garden Club of Nashville.

April 23 Celebrate Howe Wild!

Join us for an evening of fabulous friends, delicious food and stunning plants at Celebrate Howe Wild!  Chairs Anne Nesbitt and Elizabeth Wallace have planned a fantastic evening event benefiting our beloved Howe Garden, including live auctions of one-of-a-kind, rare and remarkable plants for your own collection. April 5 Nashville Puppet Truck presents The Stonecutter

12:00 pm
Based on a traditional Asian folktale and featuring Bunraku puppetry, this story teaches two life lessons: be happy with who you are and make your wishes carefully! Help us welcome back our favorite puppeteers from the Nashville Public Library & Wishing Chair Productions!
Running time: 30 minutes

As part of a collaboration with Vanderbilt Kennedy Center’s Treatment and Research Institute for Autism Spectrum Disorder (TRIAD) modifications will be made to the performance in an effort to be more accommodating to those with Autism Spectrum Disorders. In addition, supports have been developed including a tip sheet for parents, a tip sheet explaining how to use a Social StoryTM, three versions of a Social StoryTM about attending The Stonecutter at varied language levels, and a storyboard (visual schedule) of the performance.
