In honor of Cheekwood’s Japanese Garden and Modern Twist exhibition, we are making a wonderful Japanese-inspired art project! Learn about the contemporary Japanese bamboo artwork in the Museum of Art and create your own artwork in the studio.

Join us as Patrick Dougherty, the 2014 Martin Shallenberger Artist-in-Residence at Cheekwood, discusses his work and process, including the rigors of building on site and in public spaces. Calling all pet lovers!  Bring out your dogs, BIG and small, to compete for the chance to be featured on the cover of the Nashville Lifestyles May issue and inside the magazine!  A celebrity panel will judge the contest while pets and their owners enjoy live music, snacks and special offerings for your pet.  Advance entry is $20 per dog, $25 day of the event.
