September 18 LUNCH & LECTURE: Ordinary Plants with Extraordinary Stories

You walk past them every day. Mute, they cannot tell us of their fascinating roles in our nation’s history, or further back, their contributions to the Native American way of life. However, you can tell their story for them after this fascinating, sometimes funny program. Join us as Carol Reese, Ornamental Horticulture Specialist with the UT Extension Service and distinguished speaker, uncovers the extraordinary stories of some very ordinary plants.  Click here to purchase tickets.

Our favorite birds, owls and raptors take flight at Cheekwood this fall! Join us for an educational and exciting fly-by in Massey Auditorium. First-come, first-seated.

Family Studio Drop-In ‘ART’ivities

Join us in the studios each weekend for hands-on art and nature-themed activities. Open to artists of all ages!

Live Music: Bluegrass in the Herb Garden

Garden Tales Storytime

Join us in the Sigourney Cheek Literary Garden to watch and listen as your favorite nature-themed books come to life through song, dance and interactive reading.

Live Music in the Mansion

Local pianist Gunther Knaup will fill the Mansion with sweet tunes every Saturday – the perfect setting for a stroll through the galleries and historic home.

September 28 FALL FOR CHEEKWOOD: A Family Benefit

4:00 - 7:00 pm, Rain or Shine
FALL FOR CHEEKWOOD will be a high-end take on an old-fashioned fall festival, with hay rides, live entertainment, lawn games, a Southern supper, bier garten, s’mores and caramel apples - the best of fall! FALL FOR CHEEKWOOD is our first all-family benefit supporting Cheekwood’s mission to make art and gardens accessible to everyone, specifically through the free school tours we offer year-round. Your family’s support during FALL FOR CHEEKWOOD will help fund visits by the 9,000 school children from across the Southeast who are able to experience the wonder of Cheekwood free of charge, giving access to children who may not otherwise have the opportunity.
