The gesneriad family includes many popular houseplants, including the African violet, the florist’s gloxinia, the goldfish plant, the lipstick plant and many more. If you want a houseplant that will really bloom indoors, this is the family for you! The Tennessee Gesneriad Society has been in existence since the 1950s and has had a judged show most years. The society is happy to be back at Cheekwood for the first show since the pandemic shut down large gatherings.

Entries for the show will open at 10:30 AM Saturday, August 12, and plants will be judged that afternoon. The show will remain open for viewing through Sunday, August 13, at 4 PM
