Cheekwood is delighted to present Chihuly at Cheekwood as a celebration of the 10th anniversary of Chihuly’s 2010 blockbuster success at Cheekwood while also commemorating the 60th anniversary of Cheekwood as a public institution.
Chihuly at Cheekwood features large-scale installations in the gardens of the historic estate as well as pedestal works presented in the art galleries. Outdoor installations include two pieces on the newly-accessible Ann & Monroe Carell Jr. Family Sculpture Trail, as well as two new, site-specific works created for this exhibition. A monumental sculpture is on view in the Frist Learning Center Great Hall.
Visitors may view the exhibition during the daytime as well as during special Chihuly Nights hours select evenings Tuesday through Sunday.
Please note, this exhibition was previously scheduled to open April 25, 2020. If you purchased tickets for dates prior to July 18, please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org to reschedule and exchange your tickets.
Cheekwood features special Chihuly Nights admission along with regular daytime hours Tuesdays – Sundays. Cheekwood is closed to the public on Mondays.
To help maintain social distancing, two separate daytime tickets will be sold during Chihuly at Cheekwood to minimize the amount of people that are in the Historic Mansion & Museum at one time. The “Gardens Only” ticket will include access to Chihuly in the gardens and the Frist Learning Center. The “Gardens & Mansion with Indoor Chihuly” ticket will give access to the Historic Mansion & Museum including the Chihuly artworks in the galleries and the Chihuly Exhibition Gift Shop. All tickets must be purchased in advance.
Please note that Cheekwood closes at 4:30 PM to prepare for Chihuly Nights. All guests will be asked to leave the property at that time. A separate ticket is required for Chihuly Nights.

In anticipation of Chihuly at Cheekwood, and in collaboration with Chihuly Studio, we’ve brought to you series of short films that showcase the extraordinary artwork of Dale Chihuly. “Playing with Fire” explores how Chihuly and his team play with fire to create glass masterpieces. “Garden Cycle” highlights the artist’s Garden exhibitions, where he explores his love and connection with nature. “Macchia” offers a look inside the unexpected color combinations of the Macchia series, and the possibilities of scale to create pieces up to four feet in diameter. We hope these videos are entertaining and insightful, and look forward to welcoming you to our estate and gardens for the 10th anniversary of Chihuly at Cheekwood.
