On Sunday, September 18, children and families donned their festive fall finest and headed to Cheekwood for the third annual FALL FOR CHEEKWOOD, a Family Benefit. A sold-out success for the third year running, FALL FOR CHEEKWOOD benefits Cheekwood’s school programs, allowing 10,000 school children from across the Southeast to visit and experience the wonder of Cheekwood free of charge, giving access to children who may not otherwise have the opportunity. Serving as Honorary Co-Chairs were Connie Britton and Mandy and Brandt Snedeker, and the event was sponsored by NaviHealth and Thompson Machinery.
Co-chairs Vandana Abramson and Corinne Kidd helped kick off the benefit, welcoming guests to a beautiful evening in the Cheekwood fall gardens with magical offerings for guests of all ages, including a towering hay slide, hayrides, and a festive fall mini golf course provided by Holes To Go. A magnificent barbeque spread provided by Jim ‘N Nicks Bar-B-Q served as the signature Southern Supper, while Bang Candy Company, Olive & Sinclair Chocolate Co., and Ellie’s Doughnuts delighted children (and grown-ups!) with sweet treats at the S’mores and Doughnut Bars.
As the sun set across Cheekwood’s gardens and pumpkin patch, the evening came to a close with festive favors from Batch and Bang Candy Company that sent a little FALL FOR CHEEKWOOD magic home with every family.
