Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your child’s camp registration up to 2 weeks before the first day of that camp. A $35 administrative fee per child per camp will be assessed for all changes and cancellations. Registration changes and/or cancellations cannot be completed online. Please email education@cheekwood.org or call 615-353-9827 to cancel your registration. Camps cancelled less than 2 weeks before the start date are not eligible for refunds. Please note: Cheekwood cannot ‘switch’ classes. If you cancel a class to register for another, the cancellation is considered a separate transaction and the administrative fee will apply. We do not offer refunds for missed days of camp.

Camps cancelled by Cheekwood because of low enrollment will automatically be refunded in full. Cheekwood will notify you no less than 5 days in advance if a class is cancelled and will try to accommodate your child in another camp session.

Waiting List

An online wait list enables parents to add their camper(s) to an electronic wait list when they encounter a camp that is full. Cheekwood Camp Staff will manage the process by contacting parents if spots become available.

Scholarships

Cheekwood is proud to offer a limited number of summer camp scholarships made possible through the generous support of the Siddy Foote Fund of the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.

Please note: In order for Cheekwood to share the camp experience with as many children as possible, Cheekwood offers 50% and 100% scholarships based on the financial need according to the family’s most recent tax return. All requests and information submitted to Cheekwood are confidential and only used to determine financial need.

Age Limits

For all camps, campers must be the proper age on or before the first day of the camper’s registered class in order to enroll. Cheekwood has the right to cancel or switch the session of anyone registered in the wrong age group. If you have questions about moving your child to a different age range, please call 615-353-9827. All campers participating in the 4 year old only camps must be 4 years old and fully potty trained at the time of their camp. There are no exceptions to this policy.

Special Needs

Cheekwood will make every attempt to serve campers who require special attention or consideration. As we are not a special needs camp, there may be some needs that we are unable to meet. We have a policy not to accept campers whose needs are beyond our training or capabilities. If your child has a special need or a life threatening allergy, please contact the Education Department at 615-353-9827 to discuss their needs before registering. We want to prepare the staff and teachers in advance so that we can make your child’s camp experience the best and safest it can be. Camper Aids must be at least 18 years or older.

24-Hour Illness Policy

Your child must remain free of fever or vomiting for 24 hours before returning to camp. The 24 hours begins when your child last vomits or when the fever has broken and remains in a normal range. Cheekwood does not refund missed camp days in the event of illness.
