Cheekwood Summer Camp
Nashville’s favorite Summer Camp will be back for 2021! Kids ages 5-15 can come explore our gardens, make masterpieces and more.
June 7 – July 30, 2021
At this time all camps for ages 5-7 are sold out. We encourage you to place your camper on the wait list in case spaces become available.
Camp Registration is Now Open!
Cheekwood is monitoring the COVID-19 situation and putting procedures into place that will best keep our campers and camp staff safe. Currently, camp enrollment numbers are limited to allow maximum social distancing within classrooms. If circumstances change over the coming months, we will open more spots as it becomes safe. We encourage you to put your camper on the waitlist if a camp is already sold out.
Below are a few safety measures that are planned for Cheekwood Summer Camp in 2021 at this time. Please note that this is not a full list and all items are subject to change:
- • Camp staff will wear masks at all times when in the presence of campers.
- • Campers are to wear masks inside buildings and when instructed by camp staff. When outside with enough space, campers will be able to remove their masks.
- • Social distancing will be maintained.
- • Campers will be instructed to wash and sanitize hands throughout the day.
- • Camp staff and campers will be screened daily, using temperature checks and health questions regarding symptoms and exposure.
Camp staff are happy to answer any questions or concerns at any time. Please reach out for more information by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling (615) 353-9827.

You may cancel your child’s camp registration up to 2 weeks before the first day of that camp with a $35 administration fee per child per camp cancelled. Camps cancelled less than 2 weeks before the start date are not eligible for refunds. Registration changes and/or cancellations cannot be completed online. Please email email@example.com or call (615) 353-9827 to cancel your registration.
Please Note: Cheekwood cannot ‘switch’ classes. If you cancel a class to register for another, the cancellation is considered a separate transaction and the administrative fee will apply. We do not offer refunds for missed days of camp. Camps cancelled by Cheekwood because of low enrollment will automatically be refunded in full. Cheekwood will notify you no less than 5 days in advance if a class is cancelled and will try to accommodate your child in another camp session.
Our wait list enables parents to add their camper(s) to an electronic wait list when they encounter a camp that is full. Cheekwood Camp Staff will manage the process by contacting parents if spots become available.
Please Note: Due to limited capacities in our camps, we strongly encourage you to place your camper on the waitlist. We will be pulling from the waitlist if we are able to increase capacities in our camps.
We are grateful for the support of the Siddy Foote Fund in providing scholarships to Cheekwood’s Summer Camp. In order for Cheekwood to share the camp experience with as many children as possible, Cheekwood scholarships will cover 50% of the cost of one week of full-day camp, including extended care option, or 100% of the cost of a half-day of camp, again including extended care. Please be aware that incomplete applications will not be considered.
For all camps, campers must be the proper age on or before the first day of the camper’s registered class in order to enroll. Cheekwood has the right to cancel or switch the session of anyone registered in the wrong age group. If you have questions about moving your child to a different age range, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call (615) 353-9827 prior to registering for camp.
Cheekwood will make every attempt to serve campers who require special attention or consideration. As we are not a special needs camp, there may be some needs that we are unable to meet. We have a policy not to accept campers whose needs are beyond our training or capabilities. If your child has a special need or a life threatening allergy, please contact the Education Department at 615-353-9827 to discuss their needs before registering. We want to prepare the staff and teachers in advance so that we can make your child’s camp experience the best and safest it can be. Camper Aids must be at least 18 years or older.
48-Hour Illness Policy
Your child must remain free of fever or vomiting for 48 hours before returning to camp. The 48 hours begins when your child last vomits or when the fever has broken and remains in a normal range. Cheekwood does not refund missed camp days in the event of illness.
