Cheekwood Summer Camp
The Cheekwood Summer Camps that are scheduled for the weeks of July 6, July 13, July 20, and July 27 will run with a few new procedures that have been put in place to help ensure everyone’s safety:
• Camp staff will wear cloth face coverings at all times and their health will be screened daily through a series of questions and temperature checks.
• All campers will be required to wear masks when inside. Weather permitting, campers will spend time outside each day and, with proper social distancing, will provide opportunities for campers to remove their masks.
• Each camper will be given a bag with supplies at the beginning of each camp, and only those items will be used for the week.
• Capacity has been lowered in camps to be sure that proper social distancing can be maintained during indoor periods.
• Classrooms will be sanitized before and after each session.
Camp staff will continue to communicate and will be happy to answer questions or concerns at any time. A full list of the new procedures will be available to all registered families and all guardians will need to agree in writing that their camper will wear a face covering while inside and when instructed by a staff member. All campers will receive a Cheekwood Summer Camp bandana at registration, which they are welcome to use as a face covering.

You may cancel your child’s camp registration up to 2 weeks before the first day of that camp. A $35 administrative fee per child per camp will be assessed for all changes and cancellations. Registration changes and/or cancellations cannot be completed online. Please email email@example.com or call 615-353-9827 to cancel your registration. Camps cancelled less than 2 weeks before the start date are not eligible for refunds.
Please Note: Cheekwood cannot ‘switch’ classes. If you cancel a class to register for another, the cancellation is considered a separate transaction and the administrative fee will apply. We do not offer refunds for missed days of camp. Camps cancelled by Cheekwood because of low enrollment will automatically be refunded in full. Cheekwood will notify you no less than 5 days in advance if a class is cancelled and will try to accommodate your child in another camp session.
An online wait list enables parents to add their camper(s) to an electronic wait list when they encounter a camp that is full. Cheekwood Camp Staff will manage the process by contacting parents if spots become available.
We are grateful for the support of the Siddy Foote Fund in providing scholarships to Cheekwood’s Summer Camp.
For all camps, campers must be the proper age on or before the first day of the camper’s registered class in order to enroll. Cheekwood has the right to cancel or switch the session of anyone registered in the wrong age group. If you have questions about moving your child to a different age range, please call 615-353-9827. All campers participating in the 4 year old only camps must be 4 years old and fully potty trained at the time of their camp. There are no exceptions to this policy.
Cheekwood will make every attempt to serve campers who require special attention or consideration. As we are not a special needs camp, there may be some needs that we are unable to meet. We have a policy not to accept campers whose needs are beyond our training or capabilities. If your child has a special need or a life threatening allergy, please contact the Education Department at 615-353-9827 to discuss their needs before registering. We want to prepare the staff and teachers in advance so that we can make your child’s camp experience the best and safest it can be. Camper Aids must be at least 18 years or older.
24-Hour Illness Policy
Your child must remain free of fever or vomiting for 24 hours before returning to camp. The 24 hours begins when your child last vomits or when the fever has broken and remains in a normal range. Cheekwood does not refund missed camp days in the event of illness.
