Ages 8-10
Dig deep into the world of vegetable gardening and culinary arts to discover how food goes from plant to plate. Campers will explore the Cheekwood GROWS kitchen garden during peak growing season. Throughout the week they will harvest produce, cook up garden-fresh snacks, and create their own recipe book. Campers will make tasty treats such as tangy pickles, crunchy kale chips, and custom herb blends. The week will culminate with a Cheekwood Camp Famer’s Market put on by the campers where they will learn how to harvest, price, market, and display vegetables and flowers.
Campers will be cooking and eating in this camp and while we will work to accommodate food allergies to the best of our ability, we ask that you please take this into consideration when registering. Please make sure to list out all food allergies when registering your camper and email [email protected] with any food concerns.
