Celebrated as one of the premier undergraduate jazz programs in the nation, Blair School of Music students have received 14 DownBeat Magazine Student Music Awards for excellence in jazz performance and composition. Directed by Ryan Middagh, the program’s flagship Blair Big Band has also been voted Best Big Band by readers of the Nashville Scene, showcasing the exceptional talent and creativity of these young musicians.
