Experience the mesmerizing sounds of Charles Treadway, a renowned organ maestro, along with his trio, comprised of Nashville’s top musicians. The CTO3 will deliver a dynamic fusion of electrifying soul-jazz, blues and funk, creating sounds of reminiscent of organ legends Jimmy Smith, Joey DeFrancesco, and Jimmy McGriff.

Blair Academy at Vanderbilt is the precollege and adult program of the Blair School of Music. Our mission is to provide the highest caliber of music education for children, youth, and adults, so they may achieve their full potential as artists, citizens and leaders.

Chester Thompson
12 – 2 PM

Chester Thompson is a renowned drummer/percussionist, highly regarded for his ability to move seamlessly between multiple genres. Thompson’s known best for his work with Genesis and Phil Collins, with whom he shared the worldwide stage, as well as time in the studio, for over 30 years.  Other notable legends Chester performed or recorded with include Frank Zappa, Weather Report, John Fogerty, Santana, Michael McDonald, Freddie Hubbard, Ahmad Jamal, Kirk Whalum, Taj Mahal & Keb’ Mo’.

Please keep all pet friends on leash at Cheekwood and do not bring them into any of the buildings.

We will have water refill and doggie bag stations on the property. Please BYOBowl to fill and refill with water for your dog. If you don’t have a collapsible bowl and want something that’s easy to carry around, try making one out of materials you could already have at home. Like this one from a dog food bag or this one from a cereal box and bag.
