Celebrating the Cornus
Dedicated in 1982, the Carell Dogwood Garden displays many selections of Cornus species and is the centerpiece of our Nationally Certified Collection® of Cornus. The garden displays many variations in the branching patterns, bark, leaves, and berries of dogwoods. Hostas, astilbes, native ginger, daffodil, ferns, hydrangeas, and hellebores are planted at the ground level. In the fall, burgundy foliage colors cover the Carell Dogwood Garden — it’s truly a must-see.
