Japanese Moon Viewing Haiku

Cheekwood’s celebration of the Japanese Moon Viewing Festival includes a haiku contest. A traditional Japanese haiku is a three-line poem with seven syllables, written in a 5/7/5 syllable count. Often focusing on images from nature, haikus emphasizes simplicity, intensity, and directness of expression. Get creative and be ready to send us your best work!
