NEW Guidelines for 2023 Scholarships
Scholarship Applications Open: February 6 at 9 AM
Thanks to the support of the Siddy Foote Fund, Cheekwood is proud to offer financial assistance options to allow greater access to summer camp and to share the experience with as many children as possible. New in 2023, applications will be reviewed according to families’ financial need, household income and household size based on the eligibility standards for free and reduced lunches. They are evaluated on a first-come, first-served basis.
The personal and financial information provided on the application will remain secure and completely confidential.
Scholarships will cover either 50% of the cost of camp including lunch care and after care or 100% of the cost of camp including lunch care and after care. Once your application is reviewed you will be notified via email of the status. Please allow 2-3 business day after submitting your application for a response.
- Your camper must be between the ages of 5-14 at the time of camp
- You must have access to transportation to and from Cheekwood
- One week maximum of scholarship will be given per camper
Please be aware that incomplete applications will not be considered.
For all camps, campers must be the proper age on or before the first day of the camper’s registered class in order to enroll. Cheekwood has the right to cancel or switch the session of anyone registered in the wrong age group. If you have questions about moving your child to a different age range, please email [email protected] or call (615) 353-9827 prior to registering for camp.
Cheekwood will make every attempt to serve campers who require special attention or consideration. As we are not a special needs camp, there may be some needs that we are unable to meet. We have a policy not to accept campers whose needs are beyond our training or capabilities. If your child has a special need or a life threatening allergy, please contact the Education Department at 615-353-2151 to discuss their needs before registering. We want to prepare the staff and teachers in advance so that we can make your child’s camp experience the best and safest it can be. Camper Aids must be at least 18 years or older.
48-Hour Illness Policy
Your child must remain free of fever or vomiting for 48 hours before returning to camp. The 48 hours begins when your child last vomits or when the fever has broken and remains in a normal range. Cheekwood does not refund missed camp days in the event of illness.
