Autumn is in the air, and with it comes a variety of fall foliage special to the season. We feature a vast display of gorgeous fall florals throughout our 55 acres, specifically in areas like our Robertson Ellis Color Garden and the Wills Perennial Garden. And while chrysanthemums remain top-of-mind this time of year, others like perennial sunflowers and Mexican bush sage are seasonal showstoppers as well. Here’s a list of what’s in bloom during Cheekwood Harvest:
- aster
- canna
- chrysanthemum
- dahlia
- lantana
- Mexican bush sage
- ornamental grasses
- Pentas
- perennial sunflower
- salvia
- toadlily
- whirling butterfly
These plants will likely reach peak bloom at the beginning of October. Cheekwood Harvest continues through October 30, with weekend activities designed to appeal to kids and adults alike.
