Music City Rose Show - Cheekwood
x icon Close

More than 40 of the most accomplished, award winning rosarians across Tennessee, Kentucky, Arkansas, and Alabama will compete for awards in multiple categories – from hybrid teas, floribundas, and miniatures to shrub roses and old garden roses – displaying hundreds of beautiful roses in a variety of colors and fragrances. There will also be categories for best rose photography, best rose arrangements and for roses that have been named after country music stars, such as Dolly Parton, Lynn Anderson, Miranda Lambert, Johnny Cash, Alabama, Reba McEntire and more.

Schedule of Events

Saturday, May 26

10 AM  |  Pick-Your-Own Rose Bouquet

Learn from the experts on growing roses, and create your own rose bouquet! Each participant will leave with their own bouquet of roses from the Rose Study Garden. Vases will not be provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own if desired – we recommend selecting a vase with a 3 inch in diameter opening.

2 PM  | Basics of Growing Roses

The Nashville Rose Society will conduct a seminar on the “Basics of Growing Roses” led by Ron Daniels, a master consulting Rosarian and Master Gardener. Participants will learn the essentials of growing healthy, beautiful roses in Tennessee. Discussions will include planting new roses, fertilizing, spraying, watering, and deadheading.
